Diana Dunnavant maintains a private teaching studio in Williamsburg, Virginia. She is available for morning or evening lessons for students of all levels, ages, and genres; from lever to pedal harp, and beginners to advanced students.

My teaching philosophy revolves around the idea that just as every hand is different, so is every student. I do not believe in a one method approach. My goal for each student is for you to have fun making music with the instrument and use a healthy technique while increasing your musical knowledge and expression.

Requirements for private lessons:
• You must have access to a harp on a regular basis. The Virginia Harp Center offers an affordable rental program, which allows you to make low monthly payments. I am more than happy to help you through the process of deciding on an instrument suitable for lessons. Please visit the Virginia Harp Center website for more information on their rental program.

• A commitment to regular, weekly lessons and individual practice time. The more time that you are able to devote to the instrument, the more enjoyment you will get out of your lessons!

• A prior knowledge of music is not necessary, but note reading is an essential skill that we will work on during your lessons.
